Shot with vintage cameras from local artist and art historian Nigel Lendon’s private collection, developed with hand-made sixties chemistry and printed on period papers, Baldwin, Gamarra, Gray and Matthews’ exhibition documents their investigation into how plastic technologies first enabled a dynamic vernacular photography and possibilities for future lives for obsolete plastic objects.
Developed thorugh a collaborative PhotoAccess workshop and inspired by Canberra Museum and Gallery’s recent exhibition, Form Beyond Function: Nigel Lendon’s plastic cameras.
