An exhibition by Canberra-based emerging photographer Andrew Tenison. Rummaging through a second-hand shop, Tenison found a discarded photographic negative. This exhibition is a series of photographs created in response to that object. This project considers the role photography plays in memory and myth making, and how photographs can spark questions about the past and be used to interpret history.
Rummaging through a second-hand shop, Canberra based photographer Andrew Tenison found a single discarded photographic negative. The portrait captured on the film was of a German Luftwaffe serviceman. Let Me Imagine You is a series of photographs created in response to this portrait. This project considers the role photography plays in memory and myth making, and how photographs can spark questions about the past and be used to interpret history.
