Don’t be Fooled by the Faces I Wear explores the nature of passing and its shadow, the ‘sincere’ and ‘authentic’ selves in social life and art practice. Through a series of aesthetic experiments, he is using the print as a medium for examining mutable identities and their agency, investigating how the technical and material language of the print can be combined to mask or reveal its identity as a print. By identifying the characteristics of passing in print practice and social interactions, he engages with the viewers to consider the social and psychological experience of passing in daily life.
