Immerse yourself in the exciting realm of experimental film and digital weaving with talented local artist and PhotoAccess 2021 Dark Matter resident Caroline Huf!
Over five Monday night sessions, participants will explore the world of digital experimental weaving videos, using Adobe After Effects to create stunning visual effects and techniques that blend traditional textile techniques with contemporary film technology.
Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with different styles and approaches, under Caroline’s expert guidance. At the end of the workshop, they will come together to stitch their weaving videos into a unique digital quilt patchwork, showcasing the diversity of the group’s creative output.
But that’s not all – in partnership with the Canberra Short Film Festival, the enrolment fee for this workshop also includes a free submission entry into the Canberra Short Film Festival’s Experimental Film Category. This is an incredible opportunity for participants to showcase their work on a larger platform and have their film screened at the viewing at PhotoAccess in November, 2023.
So, whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or a curious beginner, this workshop is the perfect chance to explore the cutting edge of digital experimental film and weaving techniques, while connecting with a community of like-minded artists. Sign up now and take your creative vision to new heights!
