Join Sydney-based artist Valentina Schulte for a hands on workshop using Origami and folding techniques to create photo-sculptures depicting mountain ranges, ocean vistas and urban landscapes.
Learn new Origami folding techniques to create your own sculptural forms and take a behind the scenes tour of PhotoAccess’ working Darkroom. Valentina will also introduce you to her exhibition in the Huw Davies Gallery, Stillness and Rest, and share insights into her practice and how she uses darkroom processes and digital technologies together with Origami and folding techniques to create new minimally imagined global landscapes.
End the workshop with a beverage and some nibbles while add your newly created sculptures to Stillness and Rest to create a new collaborative sculptural landscape in the PhotoAccess Huw Davies.
This workshop is suitable for everybody who is 13 years or older. No experience needed.
Saturday 8 June 2019, 1-4pm at PhotoAccess.
All materials will be supplied including landscape images and B&W prints in all sizes.
You are very welcome to bring in your own photographic prints to use and experiment with as well.
