Hit the streets running in this street photography course for teenagers. This two day course will cover camera skills, techniques and the background of street photography as well as heading out and putting our cameras to work.
Covering the nearby Kingston shops, Kingston foreshore and Manuka we will unpack the street space of Southside. Take your shooting from simple straightforward shots to interesting angles and reflections, as well as portrait and people based street scenes. Of course we won’t miss the local graffiti walls for grungy and colourful photos.
We will also cover basic photo editing on provided laptops. By adjusting exposure, contrast and colour we’ll make the most of what we saw on the street. By the end of the workshop you’ll receive 2 prints of your work, or perhaps make a street photography zine! The course will be run by Emily Blenkin, local photographer and artist.
