For this special lockdown edition of our school holiday program, we are travelling the world! For a couple of days, let’s forget about COVID-19 and leave home for an amazing trip. Where would you go, if you could go ANYWHERE?
Perhaps you need a holiday on a tropical island if you love the beach, or to snow capped mountains if skiing is more your thing. You could visit the ancient pyramids in Egypt, or the rivers of the Amazon rainforest. See the Taj Mahal in India, the Eiffel Tower in France, or the Great Wall of China.
Anything is possible with the magic of photography, and a little creative imagination. Gather your favourite toys, find some good props, design your own sets, and create the perfect scene for your holiday from home.
Work with PhotoAccess’ experienced and talented school holiday tutor, Emily Blenkin, as she teaches you about forced perspectives, and other photography tricks to create your holiday snaps. Connect with other creative kids, and have fun together on your trip around the world.
This workshop is suitable for 7-12 year olds
With lockdown in place, this workshop will be delivered exclusively online, through the Zoom platform. Invitation and link to be emailed to enrolled participants the day before.
Class will meet on Tuesday morning, where Emily will introduce you to the project, play some fun games, and get you excited for your task ahead. Spend the day preparing your scene, take some pictures and meet again at the end of the day to see how everyone got along, as well as preparing for the next day.
Class will meet again on Wednesday morning and Emily will share her handy tips for getting the perfect shot, and how to edit your pictures to show everyone at the end of the day. Spend the day working on your images, before meeting the class for a special showcase event.
Your holiday snaps will be uploaded to the PhotoAccess digital platform, Photo-Stories, as an online gallery for you to share with all your friends and family.
Enrolments for this workshop close at 5pm on Tuesday 21 September, 2021. PhotoAccess reserves the right to cancel the workshop if there are insufficient enrolments. If we have to cancel, you’ll receive a full refund.
PhotoAccess will happily refund or transfer workshop fees up to 7 days prior to the start date of the workshop. If less than 7 days notice is given PhotoAccess will transfer fees to another workshop but will charge a transfer fee of either 25% of the workshop cost or $50, whichever is less. No refunds or transfers can be given once a workshop has started. Please see Terms and Conditions for further details.
