Learn and experiment new ways of image making with this Kids School Holidays Alternative Processes workshop. Over two days, you’ll learn the alternative processes of photogram and chemigram printing that allows you to create interesting compositions and fun outcomes.
Photograms and chemigrams are forms of camera-less photography where you can use objects, substances like honey and oil, and different materials placed on top of photographic paper to create shadows, chemical reactions, and unique images. No two images are the same! Everyone will take away their images made during the workshop.
This workshop is a great way to engage with darkroom printing processes, so whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, everyone will enjoy it.
Suitable for 10-14 year olds.
This workshop involves chemicals and we will provide safety equipment, gloves, and some aprons. Participants are welcome to bring their own apron for developing and printing. We also advise that the children don’t wear their very best clothes, as some of the chemical may splash onto clothes.
Participants enrolled in this workshop are also encouraged to enrol for our School Holidays: Darkroom Basics course to learn about the darkroom more, as well as our School Holidays: Sunprinting Telopea Park course for more camera-less photography processes!
Suitable for 10 to 14 year olds. Beginners to more experienced photographers and maker are welcome to enrol.
