Calling all budding animation artists! Join award-winning animator duo EleanorGiovanni for a two day workshop learning how to create your very own stop motion film. Animation is the process where artificial movement is created by capturing a series of drawings or movements one by one. Small changes in the position of the drawing or object, recorded frame by frame, creates the illusion of movement. Create your own unique character and tell their story on film!
In this introductory class, Eleanor Evans and Giovanni Aguilar demonstrate how to start creating simple fun stop motion animations. Use clay, plasticine, photographs, paper cut outs, drawings, silhouettes, Lego, blocks and toys to create characters and sets. Remember that animation is simply giving life to inanimate objects; let your imagination be your guide!
The class covers the basics of using Stop Motion Studio on your phone or tablet and the importance of the animation principle of squash and stretch. Upon completion of this workshop the budding animators will have a new skill set to start producing their own amazing and quirky claymation productions. Don’t miss out on this amazing workshop!
