Sue Salthouse (1949-2020) was an accomplished advocate for women with disabilities, but is perhaps best known in Canberra for nurturing the next generation of leaders through Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT). ‘Sue’s Legacy’ celebrates Sue’s wonderful contribution, helping ensure that her work has an enduring impact.
The launch of ‘Sue’s Legacy’ sees the screening of seven short films made by WWDACT Board and staff who benefited from Sue’s mentorship. Based at PhotoAccess and guided by Jenni Savigny of Gen S Stories, this group met for a six-week digital storytelling workshop in which each participant created a short film sharing – in their own voice – their journey to leadership.
Please join us for this very special event at T2 & aMBUSH Gallery, located in the Kambri Cultural Centre at ANU. The event will be formally opened by Ms Emma Davidson, MLA Minister for Disability. The screening will be followed by a Q&A discussion with the film creators, and facilitated by Penny Grist, Chair of the PhotoAccess Board.
