Join us for a wine and a lively discussion with our current exhibiting artists!
We expect the discussion to dive deep into their practice and the role of the photographer in exploring the tensions that exist at the threshold of human-centred urban activity and the organic spaces they appropriate into their own voracious ecologies.
The event is being held at PhotoAccess on Thursday 14th of April and will also be streamed live. The talk will begin shortly after 6pm.
Moves the familiar motifs of Australian suburban life to the peripheries of the frame, playing with transitional light and planes of focus to suggest the corruptibility of memory over time.
Expands on photographic traditions of conveying the human in the environment, and integrates paint and digital manipulation techniques to reflect on the interconnectedness of the natural and human spheres.
Uses flash photography to explore places that have been reclaimed by nature after human occupation, illuminating the power of natural forces and our sometimes futile attempts to corral them.
This event will be held both in person at PhotoAccess and live-streamed online
