Clairvoyant Reflections curated by Annette Liu presents works from four photographers that reflect on how interpersonal spaces, social histories, and landscapes have been challenged, revisited, and transformed during these unprecedented times. This exhibition will be available as on online gallery only.
‘The pandemic is a portal,’ the novelist Arundhati Roy wrote in April of 2020 in an essay for the Financial Times, urgently reminding us that pandemics have historically ‘forced humans to break with the past and imagine their world anew.’ 2020 has been defined by the public health crisis, with staggering numbers of death and long periods of social isolation, followed by a unique international racial reckoning.
Clairvoyant Reflections will be formally opened by PhotoAccess Director, Kirsten Wehner, followed by a speech from curator, Annette Liu, at 6pm Thursday 18th November, 2021.
