The Canberra Short Film Festival (CSFF) is a beloved Canberra institution, returning for its 28th year in 2023. In 2021, PhotoAccess was delighted to host the debut screening of the Experimental Film Category, in partnership with CSFF. A great success, the introduction of this category reflects the growing interest in experimental moving image amongst film and contemporary art lovers alike. Drawing inspiration from avant-garde and counter-cultural cinema traditions, this category showcases entries that disrupt mainstream film-making through innovative approaches to the medium.
Expect to be surprised and challenged by entries from all over the world at this special outdoor screening event. Bring along your picnic blanket and join us for an exciting evening of cutting edge cinema, in the beautiful Manuka Arts Centre Gardens. Drinks and nibbles available for purchase.
Don’t miss the rest of the Canberra Short Film Festival. Featuring contemporary short films, animations, music videos and documentaries from around the world, CSFF 2023 runs during November at numerous locations. For more information check their website here.
