Are you a Braddon local, hospo worker, business owner, or just a pub regular?? PhotoAccess and local street artist Kate Matthews want your help to create a photographic paste up mural on the streets of Braddon. The mural aims to show the diversity of Braddon from the perspective of those who inhabit the neighbourhood!
On this single day event, you’ll band together with fellow Braddonites to photograph all the local spots, taking in what makes you love or loathe Braddon. Then, we’ll collage our images together to print and create a giant neighbourhood mural for all to see on Mort Street, opposite Gather Cafe.
No photography or street art experience required, all you have to be is a Braddon lover! PhotoAccess will provide all cameras and equipment should you not have one handy.
This workshop is free, however registrations below are essential! Contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
If you can’t commit to a full day of making, on Sunday the 22nd November we’re developing the mural even further to include the faces of the people of Braddon!
Anyone is welcome to stop by and have their portrait taken instantly, and their face added to the mural created by the locals the day before! No registrations necessary for the portraits, just pop by 10am – 3pm at 21 Mort Street Braddon on Sunday the 22nd November.
Braddon’s Beat is a PhotoAccess initiative graciously supported by the ACT Government’s City Renewal Authority City Grants Program.
