Practical colour management with Eye-One Photo
We are offering three workshops in the next few months for members who want to subscribe to our new Eye-One Photo colour management system. Subscribers must complete a workshop before they can borrow the kit.
The dates for the workshops are:
19 July 10 am–4 pm
26 + 27 August 5–8 pm
18 October 10 am–4 pm
Prerequisite skills
Participants must be able to operate a computer and have good understanding of digital imaging concepts. No prior colour management experience is necessary.
Description
The one day workshops have been designed to give participants practical training in using Gretag Mcbeth Eye-One Photo. As part of the course fee you will receive a one year subscription which will entitle you to take the Eye-One Photo home to calibrate your own scanners, printers, monitors and digital cameras. To subscribe to use Eye-One Photo you must complete a workshop.
Through a series of hands on tutorials you will gain a practical understanding of how to incorporate colour management into your own digital workflow. You will learn how to:
• calibrate your digital hardware devices
• apply a colour profile
• incorporate correct colour into your workflow.

Cost
$250 (includes 12 months subscription to Eye-One Photo)
The cost to maintain your subscription will be $80 per year.
Using the Eye One at home
After completing the workshop, participants will be able to book the Eye-One Photo kit to use at home. A $20 (refundable) booking fee will secure your booking. If you fail to collect the equipment or fail to return it on time you will lose your booking fee.
