Digital toolbox: Photoshop and Lightroom for Beginners | Seven-week course
Digital toolbox is your beginners’ guide to Photoshop and Lightroom, the professionals' choice of image editing software. Over seven weeks, Adobe Photoshop Certified Expert Andrew Burke will introduce you to these two compatible programs, that can be used simultaneously by the amateur and professional photographer alike. Students will receive a comprehensive printed tutorial book, written by Andrew, at the start of the course. This book will allow students to study and practice between sessions. By the end of the course, you will have the tools you need to make images that stand out from the crowd.
Weeks one, two, three four and five

Weeks six and seven
- Introduction to Adobe Lightroom
Andrew Burke - Andrew is a photographer and image editor based in Canberra. A veteran Photoshop user and Adobe Certified Expert, Andrew specialises in digital image enhancement/manipulation and composite imagery. Andrew is an experienced photography tutor, teaching at PhotoAccess at the Canberra Institute of Technology.
What to bring?
Course participants are encouraged to bring their own computers with Photoshop and Lightroom installed (with version CS5 or later). PhotoAccess has three Mac laptops with Photoshop and Lightroom available for use if needed (please book in at time of enrolment).

Who is this class for? This course is for beginners with basic computer skills. This course does not require previous experience with Photoshop or Lightroom. Completion of Camera Skills five-week course, (or equivalent experience) is highly recommended. Contact us for further guidance on whether this course is right for you.
